Jim Andreoli, Jr. Gets Pucked

Friday, May 10, 2013. It’s game 6 of the NHL Western Conference Quarterfinals for the Stanley Cup. The defending champion Los Angeles Kings take to the ice for their warm-up drills. Jim Andreoli, Jr. is sitting in the President’s Box intently watching his favorite player, Dustin Brown. Dustin takes a shot at the goal but instead of hitting the net it goes up and over the glass, hitting Jim in the mouth. Jim is beside himself with excitement as he stands up, blood pouring from his mouth, puck in hand, and yells to the crowd, “Yeah, Dustin!!!” Luckily Jim is ok…and he’s a very happy fan! (You can't see in the tiny photo, but Jim's got quite the bloody lip!)

April in New England

April in New England

April saw lots of activity in New England. With winter finally passing, over 100 restaurants have begun reopening for the season with more to come.

April also saw the annual running of the Boston Marathon in Boston. Baker would like to congratulate Lauren Gurschick (GM Walter Gurschick’s daughter) for finishing the race in 3 hours 40 minutes. Unfortunately, April also saw the dark side of humanity when 2 suspects planted bombs at the finish line killing 3 and injuring over 180 people. Fortunately, Lauren had finished 20 minutes prior. New Englanders and the world banded together and began raising funds for those affected by the tragedy. Billerica employees raised $600 while Baker donated $500 for OneFundBoston to help the victims recover. Great job everyone!!!
