Administrative IT Logistics Systems Support

Vernon, California

Baker Commodities which operates in a Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 environment is seeking an Administrative IT Logistics Systems Development and Reporting person. This position will primarily be responsible for report development, interfacing with procurement management personnel, administering logistics and routing support and for evaluating project feasibility.

This person must be experienced in utilizing the following Microsoft products:

  1. Microsoft Access as a query and reporting tool
  2. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 stored procedure development
  3. Microsoft SQL Server Reporting

Job Requirements:

  • Logistics – routing and scheduling experience. 
  • Data Base Reporting – Access and Crystal. 
  • Good communication skills are essential as this individual will work directly with application users and department managers.  

Must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on support experience.

Salary will be based on experience.

National Accounts Customer Support Technician

Vernon, California

Baker Commodities Inc. has an immediate opening for a National Accounts Customer Support Technician.  The person in this position will receive and process invoices, checks, billings for Brokers and Sub-contractors, and must be able to interface with them as well as customers. They will be charged with maintaining the Corporate Customer Service System and inputting transactions, bills, and service calls into it. They will also contact sub-contractors to schedule services and maintain the account records for all National Accounts through Excel. In addition, they must be able to produce reports for customers, brokers and sub-contractors as to when services and payments/bills are due. Finally, excellent computer and communication skills are essential to facilitate the communication within the department, between divisions, with our brokers, subcontractors, and customers. Basic accounting knowledge is a plus and excellent Excel and Outlook skills are required.

Job Requirements

Microsoft Office Skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher.  Must know how to use and create spreadsheets on ExcelGreat communication skills on the phone and through email.  Must be self-starter, able to work independently and on a team.  Experience with Sub-contractors and taking calls is desirable, data entry experience is a must.  Must be organized and able to adapt to new situations.
